报告人简介：房军生，河北正定人，2008年于美国新罕布什尔大学获得博士学位，2008-2010年于美国德克萨斯农工大学做博士后，2009-2015年任教于大连理工大学，2016-今任教于河北师范大学。获得多项国家基金资助，并获得国家优秀青年基金资助，在Journal of Functional Analysis等国际杂志上发表论文30余篇。

报告摘要:Which positive operators in a factor von Neumann algebra can be written as sums of projections? This question is studied by Victor Kaftal, Ping Wong Ng, and Shuang Zhang. They obtained beautiful results on the question. In this talk we report some new progress on the question. This is joint work with Xinyan Cao, Shilin Wen and Zhaolin Yao.
