报告人简介：娄本东，上海师范大学数理学院教授。娄教授的研究领域是偏微分方程与生物数学，特别关注扩散问题中的传播现象。他在反应扩散方程的自由边界传播理论、非均匀空间中的非平面波的研究、曲率流方程的广义行波等方面作了一系列研究工作。相关研究获得上海市自然科学二等奖。

报告摘要：In this talk we first introduce some background of the mean curvature flow in material science and geometric analysis, then recall some typical results in mathematics. We then talk about the (almost periodic) traveling wave solution (TW) in a cylinder, including the definition, the existence, uniqueness and stability of the TW. Also we will specify the homogenization of the TW as the boundary undulation becomes finer and finer.
